NOTICE OF DEATH
Sister Huguette Lévesque (Sister Saint-François)
 Called to God on November 14, 2023 at the age of 88 after 66 years of religious life. The funeral will be on Thursday, November 30th at 10:30 a.m. at the Generalate, 2550 rue Marie-Fitzbach, Quebec City. Burial will be at the St-Charles cemetery, 1460, Boulevard Wilfrid-Hamel, Quebec City. More >
DID YOU KNOW THAT...
On September 1, 1935, some sisters left Quebec to establish a mission in the Basutoland, now called Lesotho, in Southern Africa. How long did their ocean journey last?
The five sisters who embarked on the Mattawin in Montreal on September 1, 1935, set foot in Durban, RSA, on the following October 12th. They arrived in St. Rodrigue on October 18th to set up their mission. Their ocean journey therefore lasted 42 days.
